Chamber CommitteesIn order to carry out the major programs of The Chamber, a volunteer system of committees is in place. The committees are comprised of Chamber and community members who are committed to the values and the vision of The Chamber. These members have volunteered their time, energy and talents ensuring the continued success of business in Havre. Major area of committee involvement includes business development, along with business interfacing with agriculture, public relations, tourism, beautification and leadership. The Chamber also sponsors or hosts many community events like: Havre Festival Days, Kicks @6!, 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, Big Money Ice Fishing Derby and the community Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting. Agribusiness Committee: Serves to interface main street business with the agriculture community; promotes existing agriculture products while searching for new opportunities in the agri-business area; sponsors activities which display the commitment of the Chamber an agriculture based economy.
Ambassadors: Serve as the public relations arm of the Chamber; providing new member ribbon cuttings, and member grand openings ceremonies for new and expanding businesses; assist with special events designed to promote member involvement.
Athletic Committee: promotes and supports athletic events in Havre, such as athletic tournaments, to stimulate economic activity in the community.
Business Development: assists business development, supports activities essential to the well-being and economic health of Havre and the area.
Government Affairs: provides the opportunity for business and community to share in the legislative process by facilitating an interactive weekly session with area legislators – during legislative years.
Havre Festival Days: a community wide event organized and facilitated each fall
Havre Pride: to promote a sense of community through a do not litter campaign; organizes a twice a year community wide clean up in partnership the Mayor and the MT Department of Transportation.
Leadership High School: develops and facilitates a 6 month high school student program that focuses on providing insight to the community; while providing opportunities to develop leadership skills and network with business and community leaders; the program in partnership with Havre High School helps potential leaders become effective leaders.
Convention and Visitor Bureay: takes a leadership role in developing and improving tourism promotion and partnerships on a local, regional and state level.
